Who we are

Briksmart builds websites and lead-capture systems for home service businesses. This policy explains what we collect when you visit our site or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions go to austin@briksmart.com.

Information you give us

When you fill out a form on this site or a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, we collect what you enter. That is typically:

  • Your name
  • Your mobile phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your business name and trade
  • Anything else you choose to type into a message field

We ask for a phone number because we call and text new inquiries. If you would rather not be called, say so in the form or reply STOP to any text.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we collect some information automatically when you visit:

  • IP address and general location
  • Browser and device type
  • Pages viewed and time on the site
  • The link or ad that referred you, including advertising click identifiers

Advertising and analytics technologies

We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram). These tools tell us which of our ads brought someone to the site and which of those visits turned into an inquiry.

Here is specifically what that involves:

  • The Meta Pixel is a small piece of code on our pages. It records page views and form submissions.
  • When you arrive from a Meta ad, the link carries a click identifier (fbclid). We store it so we can connect a later inquiry back to the ad you clicked.
  • The Conversions API sends the same events from our server rather than only from your browser, so the record is more complete.
  • Automatic Advanced Matching is enabled. If you submit a form, contact details such as your email address and phone number are converted into an irreversible hashed value in your own browser before anything is sent. Meta uses that hash to match the event to an account. We never send Meta your raw email address or phone number through these tools.
  • We also store advertising campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_campaign and similar) so we know which campaign a visit came from.

Meta may use this information to measure our ads and to show you ads from us or others. Meta's own handling of that data is governed by their Data Policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

How we use information

  • To respond to your inquiry, which usually means a phone call or a text the same day
  • To prepare and show you a website before you decide whether to buy
  • To deliver and support the service if you become a customer
  • To measure which ads and pages actually work, so we spend less on the ones that do not
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with service providers who help us operate:

  • Meta Platforms, for advertising measurement as described above
  • Our CRM and communications platform, which stores contacts and sends our texts and emails
  • Our website host and form-processing tools
  • Our payment processor, if you become a customer

Some US state privacy laws define the use of advertising technologies like the Meta Pixel as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, even when no money changes hands. Because of that, we treat it as sharing and give you the opt-out below.

Your choices

  • Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. Email us at austin@briksmart.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share" and we will stop sharing your information with advertising partners and remove you from advertising audiences.
  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we honor it as an opt-out request.
  • Access, correction and deletion. Email us and we will provide, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
  • Texts and calls. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Tell us on a call and we will stop calling.
  • Emails. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Browser controls. You can block cookies in your browser settings, and you can adjust what Meta shows you in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.

We do not charge you differently or refuse service because you exercised any of these rights.

Retention

We keep inquiry records for as long as we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterward, and customer records for as long as needed for the relationship plus any legally required period. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Children

This site is for business owners. It is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change and revise the date at the top. This policy was last updated on August 24, 2026.
